A health score and a web address for the Home Assistant you already run
No domain to buy, no router ports, no account. Install the Vome
app, press one button, and you get your health score, and a private
URL for the companion app on the same link.
Install the Vome app
- The button opens your Home Assistant on the Vome app. Press
Install, then Start, and turn on
Show in sidebar. (If it doesn't open your Home Assistant,
add
the Vome repository instead.)
- Open Vome from the sidebar and press
Get a remote address.
The address lasts a day unless you sign in from the link that
appears with it. A health check runs on the same tunnel; the
result appears back here, with nothing to copy or type.
Not on Home Assistant OS? Install through HACS instead
- Add the Vome integration —
Open in HACS
, or add
https://github.com/Vortitron/VomeSync as a custom repository.
- Restart Home Assistant when HACS asks, then
Add the integration
.
- Open the integration options and press
Get a remote address, or run the check
from Developer tools → Actions. Everything else
works the same; the app just gives you a button for it.
Or type the code
If you are reading this on a different device from the one Home
Assistant opened, Vome also shows a short code you can type in.
The link this opens is temporary. Nothing is kept unless you sign in
afterwards and say so — see what the score card is.
